  We were referred to MTR from a close colleague. My wife and I were moving homes and needed a company we could trust. MTR was on-time and protected the fragile furniture as promised (lots of blankets and tape). Furniture was securely fastened to the inside of the truck to ensure it was not damaged during the transport. We were able to move all the furniture from a 3-bedroom home in one trip with 3 movers (driver and 2 helpers). The movers they sent were kind, courteous and respectful of our property. MTR was also very flexible and understanding accommodating and changing our move date, as we needed to reschedule 2 or 3 times due to some unforeseen delays. We would highly recommend their services to family and friends. Marlene is truly a pleasure to deal with.

  A “MOVING” EXPERIENCE
  
  Last week, we moved from Toronto to Goderich in Huron County. This was an event that we looked forward to with much anticipation since we purchased our house in November. I searched the internet for a mover to do the job and I came across MTR Movers. The receptionist, Marlene with her pleasant and cheerful voice gave me the initial hint that perhaps this was the right choice among many on the list of movers. She sounded very accommodating and took the time to enlighten me as to what I should do to prepare for the “big event” -
  ...pack ahead of time
  ...label all boxes (frail, delicate, which room to deliver the boxes when they
  reached their destination – the kitchen, the living room etc.).
  These instructions appear to many to be plain common sense but not so for us as we have not had much experience with moving residences.
  The day of the move came. The movers arrived early but were willing to wait until we were ready. With speed and care of our belongings, as well as the walls and floor of our home, they loaded all our stuff in the truck. The process took 9 hours of steady work (we have a lot of worldly goods)!!!! Our boxes and furniture were stored in the truck overnight and were delivered the next day. It took a three hour drive for the movers to reach Goderich, 6 hours to unload and another three hours to return home to Toronto.
  I was very pleased with the exceptionally efficient service rendered by the MTR crew. They were all very professional, courteous and each displayed a friendly attitude. I did not experience what some of my friends did from their movers such as being charged twice or even more than the originally agreed amount and having their belongings held “hostage” until the extra charges were paid. CTV's Pat Foran in his program. “Consumer Alert” had featured similar “horror” stories connected with moving at least twice in the past, and initially therefore I was very concerned. I was very pleased that MTR Movers spared of any unpleasantness. We are all aware that moving to a new home is a very exciting event in one's life but the physical process of moving is complex and can be very stressful. Thank your MTR Movers (Marlene, Marco, Chris, and Mick) for making this segment of moving to our new home a smooth, pleasant and stress-free experience indeed. Cheers!
