Greenwood Smokehouse BBQ

Visited as a large group and the food and service were fantastic. We ordered the large platter and a few other sides like mac n cheese and hush puppies. Patio is very small and all the tables are right beside the bbq smoker so expect to have your clothes smell of smoke.

Saturday brunch at this place is not to be missed! I come here quite often as they make a mean Montreal smoked meat hash on Saturday’s and also offer up $5 Cesar’s and cider mimosas. The smoked meats are delicious and I love that you sub them into your brunch! Good vibes, great brunch and excellent service. You can also find daily specials and non meat options in the menu. They are closed on Monday’s as well.

Greenwood Smokehouse in Toronto's Greek Town is a terrific eatery for southern BBQ fare featuring ribs and pulled pork, together with sides including smoked beans and even the South's famous "greens". This is a smokehouse so be prepared to leave with smoked clothes too. Terrific playlist which was pitched at a level one could talk over easily while still catching riffs and vocals. Good find.

The brisket (smoked with oak and maple I believe) was well cooked with an earthy taste and a slight sweetness. It was a good cut of beef and moist. The sauce was a take on a west Carolina tomato based sauce that goes better with pork than beef. As a native Texan, I would give this a 3-star for good meat but okay sauce, but as of now it is the best BBQ I have found in Toronto, so it gets a 4.

The prices are a bit steep, the service was good, owner friendly, and atmosphere nice. Plus they have a decent beer selection.

I shared a platter with my friend and it was the perfect amount between the two of us, with some left to overs for lunch the next day. There's an amazing smoky flavors on everything we had, and everything is super tender. I especially enjoyed the wings. A gem on the Danforth and solid option for your bbq cravings. The waitress was also helpful with helping us out choose what to get.
