Gibraltar Point Day Nursery

The staff (Ms. Sommer, Susie, Jessica and Gladys) at Gibraltar Point Day Nursery makes this daycare phenomenal! They are compassionate, kind and really treat all the kids like their own. The experience from the tour of the school to the end of care is hands on and reassuring. Both my kids loved the day to day activities and have learned so much from them.
Parents are updated every day on the HiMama app about how the day went for their child – down the nitty gritty details. Highly highly recommend. Every daycare should be like them.

This is our daughter’s first daycare experience and we couldn’t ask for a better place. The teachers are fantastic: They are enthusiastic and invested in each child. We get several updates daily with photos and comments about our daughter’s day, and obviously the setting on the Toronto Islands is perfect. They are handling the ongoing pandemic so well and we have no reasons to be worried. The fact that they spend so much time outside on the island is also a major benefit. We fully recommend this daycare.

Great location on Toronto Island feels like you are in cottage country while still in the City.
Our daughter loved it and had a great time.
Most importantly teachers use an application called HiMama to share pictures and updates about your child's day.
Our extended family lives overseas and with the daily updates they received they felt more connected with us than ever. We just came back from a family visit and it is amazing how much my parents know about my daughter from those daily updates.

Gibraltar point nursery has been such an amazing experience so far for my daughter. I love that she gets to be outside interacting in an organic way with nature every day. The teachers at the nursery are incredibly experienced, enthusiastic and caring. I love that my 2.5 year old is constantly singing the songs that she learns and teaching me about the new things that she learns each day (from butterfly migration to mindfulness and breathing). I am so happy that we have found this wonderful experience for her and I look forward to sending my second daughter as well!

Our son loves this place and so do we! The amazing teachers use the island setting to its fullest and the kids learn about nature, science, friendship, and respect in a wonderful mix. The nursery programme is presented to us parents in detail and we follow all the fun activities during the day via the HiMama-app. The team help the kids grow and develop and even teaches them about mindfulness. Gibraltar Point Day Nursery is one of the best decisions we've made for our family!
