Dembe Elaine

I'm one of the referrals from the person who had the fall 18 months ago, and man, I'm thrilled to have found Dr. Dembe, too (thanks, JB!). I've been struggling with pain in my hip for over 15 years with spasms a few times a year that would knock me out for about 2 weeks (unable to sit or stand, let alone get out of bed). About 4 months ago, the pain became even more intense spreading to my lower back and leg, and I've been in pain 24 hours a day. Family doctor after medical doctor and a physio or 2 told me my bones are great in the x-rays. I pretty much gave up on ever finding relief outside of a pill. I've only had my first treatment yesterday, and Dr. Dembe nailed the problem almost immediately. At the end of the session, I gave her a hug as I'm so confident I'll eventually be pain free ... or at the very least, have a lot less pain every day.

I had a fall 18 months ago. On top of that, I was prescribed incorrect orthotics that took a year and multiple iterations to correct. All of that left me in significant pain and at times, limited use of my leg. As an active person in sports, this often left me in agony and compromised. Over those 18 months, I'd seen 2 chiropractors, massage therapist, 2 physiotherapists and a doctor at the Cleveland Clinic who kept insisting it was my back. The only one who came close was my massage therapist. The rest .... at best I had temporary relief; no lasting results. Fast forward 18 months to when I walked into Elaine Dembe's office. Within one week, (3 treatments including shock wave), I was 60% improved. Within 2 weeks, (6 treatments) I was 100% improved. Elaine not only gave me professional treatments, she showed me diagrams and explained what was happening so that I understood the importance and significance of the exercises she gave me to do. I did them. Religiously. I'm now 3 weeks in and I have slept through the night, without pain, since I started, something I hadn't done for months before I saw her. I have 2 friends who are now seeing her because their doctors fluffed them off. I want them to have what I received. In fact, I want everyone to. Elaine has not only totally helped my back and neck and hips in the way that no other chiro has, she's also motivated me to look after myself better. I look forward to our bi-weekly sessions for her awesome healing vibe, her wonderful nuggets of wisdom and her very thorough interventions. Part of me doesn't want to get better because I LOVE going to my appointments!
