  This park is quite a nice location to walk around outdoors, and during the summer one of my favourite events here is the movies that they host in the park. They have a giant inflatable screen, and it is free for the public! The only thing that can be difficult is to find parking nearby, though a lot of the local streets do allow parking until midnight.

  Beaches, yay. This bit appears to be just west of Wineva a or just east of Leuty. Bit of an ambiguous name.

  This is a great place to spend a whole day! The park - and especially the beach just south of it - has everything you need. There's a paved bike/rollerblade path, a separate boardwalk, sandy beach, lots of benches and grassy areas, swimming, a large off-leash dog park, a few spots for BBQ, pickup beach volleyball, and parking and restaurant at the east end. You can even get there by public transit! What's not to like?! :-)

  We got off the Queen streetcar at Kew Gardens. I love how the gardens are designed. The tall trees blocks out the city. For a moment, I almost forgot I was in Toronto. The off-leash dog park is by the lake. The water was cold but my pup had a lot of fun.
