  Prices seem comparable to or lower in some cases than big stores like Walmart. I didn't try the fresh produce though. So, I can't say same about that area. The staff was friendly during my visit.
  However the aisle labellings are inadequate. You have to walk around the store to find what you want. Also, the store seemed a little untidy.

  Pretty good variety. I like the people who work there. But, I made a huge mistake buying fresh produce there. Often times, I find out that the fruits or veggies have gone bad. Also bought yoghurt that was past the expiry date (over a month old). In an effort to save money, this grocer is not careful with the food. Berries covered in mould. This place is good if you need a loaf of bread for dinner in a quick minute, but stay away from the fresh stuff.

  Fantastic independent grocery store!! Great friendly staff! Fair prices and very convenient, open early and closes late. Just a short walk to York University. You will find fresh produce at great prices, they usually have weekend sales. I bought a huge bag of tomatoes for only $5!! The meat and deli department is well stocked and always looks fresh. The new butcher will custom cut most anything you need. You should try the store made burgers, great on the bbq! I’ve been in the York U neighbourhood for 10 years and I’m so glad this place is here.
