This doctor might be good as I've read many positive reviews about her (I am not one of her patients), but my low rating is due to the shocking behavior of the receptionist at her medical clinic. (I rate the entire patient-interaction experience, from receptionist to doctor.) I called in a few weeks ago inquiring whether Dr. Curea currently accepts new patients, and the receptionist was unbelievably rude. As Dr. Curea was not accepting new patients, I asked to be redirected to another GP who was. The receptionist quickly blurted out their phone number -- ignoring my request to pause so that I could fetch a pen and paper -- and then hung up the phone on me. This was completely unprofessional behavior, and it gives a bad impression of Dr. Curea's office, regardless of how great the doctor herself is.
Dr. Delia Curea is an excellent family doctor. I have been her patient since 2008. She is connected with the North York General Hospital and can make very good recommendations for specialists. I feel she cares about me as a patient, is a good listener and respects my position on certain issues, such as supplements. Always very positive and upbeat in her demeanor. I was very lucky to be referred to this young doctor soon after she joined her current clinic. Great personality, realistic, open-minded, informed about 'non-medical' treatments. She is reliable and her staff are very busy, however, if you treat them nicely, they will treat you the same!
