Nanny McPee

Charlene goes above and beyond for my dog and I can tell how much he loves her - my dog doesn’t love just anyone. I feel secure knowing he is in good hands and that he’s going to be rewarded for his good behaviour and gently reminded to correct himself when he’s forgotten his manners or how to walk properly. Nanny McPee is very responsive and quick to provide an update which is something I really value. Would 100% recommend the company and the people behind it.

We (my husband and I, and especially “Jax” our dog) immediately felt at ease with Charlene.

It has been well over a year now that we interviewed Charlene, after transitioning from a large home to a condo. At the time, Jax, was just over one year old. It had been a challenging transition and we were concerned we were not being fair to Jax; thus, bringing him from a house to a condo. Charlene, was very supportive and resourceful. She made a magical difference from the start by taking Jax under her wing and making it her mission to work with him. Jax, had a problem sitting still and jumping up on people in the elevator. In a short period of time we noticed a pleasant difference in Jax. It wasn’t long before owners/tenants in our condo started making comments and asking questions: ie Your dog is so well behaved! Is that a service dog? For us, it truly reinforced the difference Charlene had already made.

Charlene, always communicates with us and informs us of what she is working on with Jax, so we can reciprocate and work in tandem. Her “time to pet” app allows us access to communication, a view of Jax’s schedule, a display of “real time” start/finish walk times; it includes Charlene’s location with each walk, as well as checking off what Jax has expelled during his walks.

Additionally, Charlene has been a wealth of knowledge to us in terms of pet products, trainers, vets and city by laws for animals. She has provided us with good names and websites along the way. If there is something we need for Jax and we don’t have time to pick it up, Charlene is always happy to do this within her travels; she has picked up toys, booties, and even introduced us to good coffee shops in the area.

Moreover, Charlene has house-sat Jax at our condo. It works wonderfully when we go on vacation; consequently, making it a seamless transition for Jax. We have complete trust in Charlene with our home and our dog; she often thinks of things we may not. For example, our family went away at Christmas recently and when Charlene asked us for an emergency number of someone close by we didn’t have one: since all of us were going away together. Charlene, explained if something ever happened to her, who would Jax go to in our absence. While we were searching for someone, Charlene had already had a backup in mind.

Safety, professionalism, and a passion for animals are Charlene’s strengths. Here are some examples: We had changed Jax’s collar and had forgotten to switch over his name tag. In the meantime, Charlene, purchased a new name tag with Jax’s name on it; we noticed the new name tag on Jax’s collar when we arrived home. Moreover, Charlene is very punctual and has never had to take time off or switch days. We have a mutually respectful relationship with Charlene. When provided with a heads up, Charlene has always fulfilled our requests/changes in Jax’s schedule. Whereas, in an emergency situation I know Charlene would do what she could to accommodate us. Finally, more recently, while I had been working from home I came out of my office and noticed Charlene combing Jax’s fur to remove the burrs he had collected during his walk.

In summary, I can honestly say Charlene has been a godsend for us and we unconditionally trust her with Jax and our home.
