The food was amazing. We shared a salad and each ordered a different chicken dish with squashed potatoes. The kitchen prepared my chicken schnitzel in lemon sauce to perfection. My better half ordered the BBQ skillet chicken. When she neared completion the skillet was still hot. This is her favourite dish and she always orders it.
The chocolate torte surprised us. It was fantastic. Great job from the kitchen. This was our 3rd visit and we just started patronizing the Barrel House since the city allowed people to eat at restaurants.

(September 5, 2020, 1:23 pm)This must be one of the best patios in Toronto, the roof top patio in particular is pleasant, peaceful and practically free from noisy music. Like most places during the pandemic the menu is a little limited but it's really good quality and of course the beer is great. Staff are great, friendly and super helpful. A great locale!

(August 27, 2020, 9:54 pm)I have visited this place on numerous occasions..it seems that I am becoming a bit of a regular. I always look forward to this AWESOME PLACE. The staff are unbelievable..pleasant, accommodating, professional and they always make you feel great about being there! From the front door reception to the wait staff, management....UNBELIEVABLE! I am Not sure how management were able to put together such an incredible and CONSISTENTLY PLEASANT & CARING team...but they DID!!! They are all perfect AMBASSADORS for the AMSTERDAM brand! I freaking love this place...and always look forward to return visits! Make sure you ask for Jeff when you go in...ask for his section...trust me you will be happy you did! in a word...HE ROCKS!!! A very happy FAN!!!!
