Ordered the mapo tofu and pork with cabbage and fresh shrimp dumplings. Both tasted great. Idk why the 1 star reviews says what they say, but maybe they improved since?
The mapo tofu had a good balance of spiciness which doesn't overpower its overall savoury flavour. My gf says it was a bit too salty, but praised its flavour as well. I thought the salt level was fine, especially when mixing this with rice which tastes so much better.
The dumplings had nice flavour and they're definitely not those generic frozen ones from grocery stores, however, I wish there were more filling in each one. The filling is smaller than other dumpling restaurants and I felt more skin than filling as I ate. Though, the dumpling skin is the good kind because its thickness was balanced and had a slight chewiness. The dumpling dipping sauce that's included smells of black vinegar and had chili flakes, but the taste was extremely off from what I expected. I had to throw it out. Sorry owner(s), maybe it wasn't my taste, but it really did taste weird.
I ordered through the Fantuan app (restaurant had discounts here) and it was smooth picking up my order from the lady. Her customer service was normal and no sign of rudeness or anything.
Overall, I'm happy with the food and definitely ordering from here again to try other dishes. Thank you for the good food.
I got delivery and the food was very good. Shanghai noodles are very good and the pork cabbage dumpling, spring rolls, breaded shrimp, I also enjoyed the beef and noodles and the fried rice is very good. I have no complaints, the price and the foods taste is well worth it.
Got mapo tofu, cantonese chowmein, beef hofeng, and fried rice for a very good price. Very nice service and the taste is a hidden gem. Will not hesitate to come back whenever I am nearby.
