(February 2, 2022, 1:54 am)I found Sean because I borrowed his book Burn Your Mortgage from the library, and saw that Sean was from Ontario, and figured "why not? Better than finding a guy through Google". For some reason I didn't think to ask friends/family for a broker referral, but it turns out that I made a great decision. In looking for a broker, it's important to have someone knowledgeable, a clear communicator, and with good connections to find you good rates. I think Sean did well in all these aspects, and is responsive whether through email or phone. Working with busy schedules is important in providing something as high-touch/client-service oriented as this.
It is EXTREMELY nerve-wracking and high stress to go through the home-buying/mortgage process, especially if you are a first-time mortgage applicant, or if it is not a run-of-the-mill mortgage. Do your research, shop around if you want, but the best rate isn't always the best mortgage. It helps to have someone in your corner during this complex process and I'm glad Sean was in mine. -

He was very patient with us and explained every aspect of the mortgage. He made it look very easy for us. If you are a home buyer, looking for mortgage options in the market, I would definitely recommend giving Sean a call for a hassle-free mortgage process.
