I decided to work with Voice & Speech when I discovered this course through a very helpful detailed YouTube on speaking slower. I watched one of the videos on the channel and saw that this was being offered and immediately signed up. I benefitted from working with Voice & Speech because I had someone to cater to my voice and make a personalized plan for my speech to ensure progress for me. Along with my daily practice I can catch and correct myself when speaking and, I am able to speak clearer for longer amounts of time. I definitely notice the difference on my speech when I haven’t done my exercises in a while. My speech isn’t perfect yet as that takes time but I can notice progress. I would recommend this service to someone looking for guidance and individual focus for their voice. Mr. Miller was so respectful and patient each session which made it comfortable for me to participate.

Every time I had to speak in public or record a voice-over I had a tendency to unconsciously speak in my “announcer voice” which was not appealing, caused throat pain and took away from my natural voice.

Jay was the first teacher to immediately recognize and explain my issue and worked with me to discover and learn to speak with my “middle voice”. After a few weeks and lots of practice, my throat pain was gone and I was communicating at a much more natural and clear level. Even my wife noticed the difference in casual conversation and how much better I was sounding.

I’m still working with Jay and highly recommend him to anyone wanting to improve their voice and communication skills.

    Thank you Jay!

I never knew the simple act of speaking, which we take for granted, could become so enjoyable until my training with Jay. Prior to the training, I knew I wanted to “sound better,” but did not know what that really meant. Jay personalized his training and helped me discover what it meant to have, and more importantly, how to achieve a better voice. In 3 months, I noticed a substantial improvement in the fullness and resonance of my voice. When listening to my own recording 3 months ago, I could not believe how flat and shallow my voice used to be. Jay is an experienced, personable and patient teacher, who conducts his training with a very holistic approach. Our class was truly a highlight that I looked forward to every week during this pandemic! Whether you think you have a good voice or not, I believe everyone can benefit from working with Jay. You’ll learn how your voice works and how to improve it, and you will also develop a composed speaking cadence and voice that are engaging and enjoyable to listen to.

Before enrolling in the Voice & Speech training program, I lacked an understanding of how to speak with an impact. I struggled to confidently deliver my message in a way that engaged those around me. As I progressed in my career, public speaking became increasingly critical, so I decided to seek formal voice training. Working through the Voice & Speech program has been a life changing process. I now have the confidence to express myself fully and make an impact on those in the room. I urge anyone in a similar situation to invest in yourself and seek professional voice training, and I strongly recommend Jay Miller. He is an experienced, highly regarded and trusted professional. I truly looked forward to working with Jay each week, and even since concluding the program, my voice continues to improve with each passing day.

As a physician, part of my job requirement is to do regular presentations to my fellow colleagues and it became very apparent that I had issues with confidence in my voice and voice projection. Having the luxury of Jay as my personal coach has given me the tools to become a more effective communicator in my personal and professional life. Now that I have successfully completed my training, I have increased confidence and better voice control. I find the improvements in my voice have dramatically changed my personality as I am more outgoing in public situations. I highly recommend Jay's unique approach to voice training. It was incredibly effective in a short time.
