This was a great event with awesome craft beer vendors participating. Many vendors were offering half pours for one token ($1) which is a great price in comparison to other festivals I’ve been to that are normally 2-3 tokens. The food vendors were also awesome, I enjoyed the Hawaiian BBQ vendor that offered up grilled chicken skewers with pineapple. The music and overall vibe was really fun too. I would say the only drawback to this event would be the fact that its from 12-6, would’ve been awesome if it went on till 8 at least.
Gotta love a craft beer festival. Decently priced drink tickets and so so many selections for beer, endless really. This is one of the yearly festivals I go to as well as their winter one which is always fun too. The staff are great and the suppliers are always knowledgeable about what they are pouring. Great festival to go to, I recommend going early as it gets very busy!
I was pleasantly surprised by the Roundhouse Craft Beer Festival. Having gone to The Toronto Craft Beer Festival (TCBF) the last 4 years, which has a much higher price point, I expected this to feel smaller or less put together. It didn't. In fact, it felt the opposite.
Not only where there a great selection of craft beers, moreso than the TCBF, but the whole event just felt so much more fun and friendly.
Each token costs $1 (compared to $2 at TCBF) and is good for 4oz. You can play an additional token to get 8oz (a half pint). This is a fantastic concept. Not only that, but even though I paid 1 token for almost everything, the brewers often gave slightly over 4oz since the glasses were larger. I spend $20 on tokens and had my fill after about $15. As compared to the TCBF where I'd spend $30 on tokens to get the same amount.
There were games, Steam Whistle hosted a few activities, and the live music was great.
Even the food was better. There were at least 5 food trucks plus a bunch of smaller food vendors offering some really tasty food.
Overall, my friend and I were so impressed we already decided to come back again next year over going to the TCBF. It's so much more worth it and a much better experience.
Had a wonderful afternoon and evening at the Roundhouse Craft Beer Festival 🍻 Great variety of breweries, food trucks and live music
Excellent festival, always really fun, even when is quite cold!
They have a great variety of beers for all tastes and they have been improving the food options every year.
