(July 5, 2022, 11:23 am)We came to Flourish for some extra support for our child who has having a hard time handling big emotions in a variety of situations. He very quickly developed a great rapport with his psychologist, sharing lots of his feelings with her. It was clear the psychologist had built a great plan not only to help our kid with tools but also to make him feel comfortable throughout the sessions. The whole family left with useful tips to help our child and ourselves. The team at Flourish was accommodating to our schedule, checked in on progress, and customized a plan to meet our needs. We have seen our kid thrive in situations that would’ve caused a spiral pre-Flourish (ie, joining a sport team, getting vaccinated, big family gatherings).

Researching the internet to try and support our child independently only provided us with conflicting and incorrect information. Upon the realization that professional assistance was needed we reached out to Marie Hooper at Flourish on Queen. From our very first conversation with Marie we felt confident that she would be able to support our child, and us. Through a series of sessions Marie worked with our family to develop a plan to achieve optimal success. Marie took time to explain the research and motivation behind our next steps and would debrief our progress while providing feedback. We felt well supported and energized by the progress that we experienced. Our child became happier and was able to achieve his optimal well-being as a result. We are truly grateful to Marie for her care and guidance while supporting our family.
