When Ovik and I decided to get married, Photography was a top priority for us from the start. We combed through a multitude of profiles before we landed on Devi Kumari Images to capture our special day and once in a lifetime moments. From our initial interactions with Sangeeta and Rishi we were impressed by their passion for this art, tools developed to get to know their clients, level of ongoing engagement leading up to the wedding, personability and creative eye. Rishi's over the top energy and Sangeeta's focus were a killer combination that gave Ovik and I a sense of comfort and trust.

They got to know us as people first and then worked their magic. We had the pleasure of our first in person meeting at our e-shoot. My Husband is very shy, but having gotten to know him Rishi came playing his favorite tunes on his speaker - this immediately eased him up in front of the camera. Sangeeta joined our eshoot as well helping identify the most picturesque points of the park to give us the best pics possible.

The pictures were beautiful - and the themes were a perfect blend of both of our personalities. Then, came our big day. The best surprise was walking into the ceremony and seeing BOTH Sangeeta and Rishi capture our day, when initially it was planned to be just one. They were incredible together and almost immediately befriended our bridal party of 16 (and are now all social media friends)!

Both Sangeeta and Rishi work diligently and thoughtfully with the priority being their service. They naturally ease up any couple about to be the centre of attention and the product of their work is beautiful - a reflection of their passion.

This brother and sister duo EXCEEDED our expectations and without a second thought have won over our hearts, our family and friends and future business from us capturing other special moments and milestones in our lifetime.

Thank you both for being on this journey with us and for making our wedding picture perfect! 🙏❤

We are so thrilled to have had Rishi and Sangeeta as our wedding photographers! We fell in love with their approach to photography for the vibrancy and colours, but most importantly, the myriad of ways that they manage to capture love, joy, and fun. They are really easy to work with, will make you laugh and feel comfortable even if it's your first time doing a photoshoot (which we really appreciated for our engagement shoot!), and they seamlessly integrate themselves into the wedding festivities to bring out the smiles on everyone's faces. We got so many comments after the reception about how Rishi and Sangeeta were a super fun and energetic photographer duo, and all the evidence is in the wedding pictures; they captured so many beautiful moments that we weren't able to witness ourselves in the rush of the day, and the final wedding album truly preserves all the big highlights and small moments that we can look back on and treasure forever. Highly recommend working with them!!

Sangeeta and Rishi were an absolute pleasure to work with from the very beginning. We booked them for our wedding and reception photography prior to the start of the pandemic. We unfortunately had to postpone our wedding, but they were so amazing during this process. We ended up having a civil ceremony on our original wedding date which I wanted professional photos for as well, Sangeeta happily took this on and did an amazing job capturing this day.

Sangeeta and Rishi were also extremely flexible with our e-shoot which we had to reschedule 3 times! Our vision was to take our photos at High Park during cherry blossom season, and they made sure that’s what we got.

Finally, both Rishi and Sangeeta photographed our wedding and reception this August. They were on time, professional and took the time to review our in depth itinerary to ensure they didn’t miss any crucial shots. They proactively reached out to set up times to discuss our vision for our wedding photos and took note of things that were particularly important to us.

Throughout our entire relationship with them they made it clear that they genuinely cared, and wanted to make sure we were happy with the end results. They took the time to get to know us and as a result our photos reflect our personalities so well.

    They are a dream team!

Tldr: if you want a team that is reliable, skilled, communicative, genuinely caring, and want one less thing to worry about, Devi is the photographers you want. You will get amazing photos that will really show the best moments of your special day on top of two personalities that you and your guests will love. I don't think I've ever heard guests mentioning how much they loved the photographers themselves until working with Sangeeta and Rishi.

We hired Devi for our wedding in July 2022, which included pre-events, the wedding and reception. However our experience starts with the engagement shoot session. Here we had a chance to really let them get to know us, what's important to us, our personalities and then use that to take pictures that define "us". We felt comfortable just expressing ourselves while having our photos taken, adding our own flair and they were extremely receptive to our ideas and adjusting them to make them work. After that, we already knew we made the right choice.

During the pre-events, they showed up at our places earlier than expected, and got to know the locations, the people and the schedule for the day. This was so appreciated since there's already 1000 moving parts, so knowing they can be self sufficient is one less thing to worry about. And despite the chaos, they were able to wrangle everyone in and more importantly, keep everyone's energy up by calling up less involved guests, humoring the kids, having and really playing to our family and friends personality. They were able to get my family to have photos taken that I'd never expected them to, which was extremely impressive! And it wasn't a farce, during the events and after, there were so many people that came up to us letting us know how much they loved our photographers. Again, on a day when there's 1000 moving parts where any one of them can go wrong, knowing the photographers were working better than planned was such a huge relief.

I also feel like I need to highlight communication, because that was one thing that I wholly appreciate. Even though my wife and I are awful at doing things on time (heck, I was supposed to send this review out weeks ago!), that didn't deter them from keeping us updated all the time; giving us important times, ideas, motivation and advice. Not only that, but they got along well with our videographers and worked together, it was nice to see that they were in sync instead of stepping over each other. One groups work inspired the other and we had some great shots from our photos and videos as a result.

Without repeating myself a million times about how amazing they were on the wedding day itself (but they were. They were amazing), a few things really solidified our choice. 1) the morning of at the groom side, given how chaotic and unorganized my family was, Rishi was able to wrangle everyone in and get some photos that I felt were important to me and he did it without being rude, pushy or annoyed by it. I was impressed at the way he was able to keep his composure through it all even when being pulled every which way. And 2) was at the end of the night when things were nearly winding down. Rishi had a brilliant idea of having everyone come onto the dance floor for a group photo. Intentional or not, because of this, as soon as the group photo started, and the music hit, all of the guests stayed on the dance floor for way longer than we ever would have expected. There were people dancing and having fun and we think it was this one tiny but brilliant idea that led to some awesome moments and amazing pictures that we never thought we'd see!

I could keep going, but your eyes are probably tired. That's fine, save your energy for when you book this team and get to enjoy your own pics. If you're still on the fence, go ahead and reach out to me or other clients of theirs and I'm sure they'll share all the same sentiments.

Sangeeta and Rishi are the kindest, flexible and understanding wedding photographers anyone can be blessed with. We originally booked back in 2019–after meeting at a wedding show— in hopes of having a wedding in 2020 but the pandemic had other plans. Sangeeta and Rishi assured us every step of the way that they will be there for us no matter what to capture our days when time came (no “postponement fees”, price gouging etc). Planning, re-planning, hiccups and bumps along the way…Sangeeta and Rishi effortlessly put us at ease. Upon booking, Sangeeta set up a meeting with us; we discussed details, ideas and she really took her time to get to know us and our style. From there on out we knew we hit the jackpot choosing to work with Devi by Kumar Images.

Just shy of 2 weeks ago, Sangeeta and Rishi upheld their promise to us and then some! These two amazing humans went above and beyond to capture our special moments: Rishi was determined and succeeded in getting our scared cat from out under the bed so we can include her in pics—we’re so grateful for that! We felt like over the past couple years we got to know Sangeeta and Rishi more and developed a friendship with them!

Sangeeta’s sweet, caring and creative nature mixed with Rishi’s fun, spunky and incredibly hilarious personality worked perfectly together and the ambiance of harmony, intimacy, and peace….yes I said peace (for folks who are West Indian you know how hard this can be on your wedding day!). If you’re looking for photographers who are caring, down-to-earth, personable, and genuine look no more. Sangeeta and Rishi are your people…hands down best photographers EVER!
