(March 10, 2020, 3:38 am)We live in Olde Thornhill and our house is almost 60 years old. For the last 3 years, we have been using Decent Contracting (Jack and his crew) to make several renovations and alterations to our home. The first year was the biggest with 2 bathrooms gutted and redesigned; 1500 square feet of h/w flooring installed; our kitchen countertop and lighting replaced and closets installed in 3 bedrooms including a walk-in closet for the MB. Second year was painting the whole house (inside and out - a larger undertaking than it seems), including doors, trims and jambs, and working on a basement fix where the floor had some problems and redesigning and re-configuring our laundry room. Third year was removing and resetting 1500 square feet of interlocking and fixing and resurfacing my garage floor. This year (2020), I hope to have Jack do more work on my basement and to help with installing curbs on my driveway as well as doing some fixes on my chimneys and then to take him up to Collinwood (if he and his crew will go and stay) to do some renovations to my place there.
Jack is capable of finding those trades that will work with him so you can rest assured that for any major renovation, he can be trusted to get the total job done. His work is high quality, and his price is very competitive. Very hard to beat. Most of all, he is reliable. -

Jack came to visit and give us a quote. After interviewing several others general contractor we trusted Decent Contrating.
We are thankfull to give our project to Decent Contracting. Jack and his crew routinely show up and come to work 6 days a week. The progress went well and it is completed 3.5 months just as it written on his quote. We are happy with the result and quality. Jack is very straight forward and also willing to listen to your concerns. Right now, we call them back to handle our 2nd project also worth over $150,000. I am not hesitate to recoomend them.
