WOW! Taking piano lessons with Shannon is inspiring and enjoyable. While she can demonstrate her gift and talent on the piano, she also knows exactly where to start and what the next steps are for someone like me who has had some experience with piano in the past. Her knowledge, professionalism, and patience, combined with her dedication to my own interests has helped me learn to love piano again. I can feel that my programming is very individualized, and I appreciate the work she does to ensure this quality connection between myself and the piano, and also the connection between student and teacher. Apart from being an excellent teacher, I would like to add that Shannon also has a great personality, and really aces it when it comes to ensuring that we feel welcome in her home studio. Walking inside the waiting room is lovely and you can see her passion for piano. To use piano terminology, I hope this review speaks forte!

I am giving Ms. Shannon 5 stars (the best) as a piano teacher. Here are her qualities:
    - very patient
    - a great listener,
    - attentive to my child's progress,
    - provide frequent feedback,
    - simple and lively songs that my child can relate to
The lessons are entertaining and enjoyable. I have no reservation in recommending Ms. Shannon to whoever is considering investing in music lessons especially for someone who has no music inclination at all.

We accidentally came across Ms.Shannon's listing and have been very happy with our experience at her in home studio. She's very professional. My kids are 9 and 12. The older one with some previous experience from parks and recreation keyboard lessons and my younger had zero experience. Both have improved so much from where they were when we first started. Ms. Shannon keeps my kids engaged and has a tremendous amount of patience. My younger one loves the stickers she gives out! She has expectations but not so much to deter my kids from wanting to learn. There's a nice area for parents to sit while your kid(s) learn. She puts out things like origami, water colour painting, books etc... So the parents aren't bored waiting. Also since I have two of my kids enrolled, I've discovered a hiking path/entrance that connects to the Don river trail just a few doors down and I will take a nice hike while they learn. Parking is available and free.
