(March 6, 2019, 2:56 am)My wife and I cannot recommend Kurt (the owner of Niche Projects) enough. We interviewed several contractors to oversee a large renovation in our old semi in downtown Toronto. Kurt worked with us on every aspect of the renovation, helping us make the hundreds of decisions that come up during the process. He saved us money where he could and was honest when he recommended spending a bit more on something, and could always explain his rationale in a way that made sense to us, first-time homeowners and renovators. His own high-quality handiwork and his skill at choosing specialists for specific jobs (e.g., difficult electrical work) was obvious to friends and family who visited during the project and who have much more knowledge about construction than we do. They unanimously and independently verified the quality of the renovation. We continue to call on him for small things that pop up now-and-then -- he's someone that we look forward to seeing. We'll continue to call on Kurt first for anything that needs doing in our house, no matter the size of the project.
