I moved my horse here in March 2019. My daughter followed with her horse in May. We are so happy to be at this facility. The McLaughlins are wonderful to deal with, the facilities are excellent, our horses are well cared for and the other boarders are friendly and helpful. We could not be happier.

We moved to Celtic Roots after a horrible experience with breech of confidentiality, gossip, judgement of our personal life, judgement of my husband as a parent, and a lack of professionalism at Our old barn. Since joining Celtic Roots I have felt a comfortable vibe while spending time with my daughter and our horse several times a week. The facilities are clean, the atmosphere is very professional I think that’s partly because you have to own a horse to join this barn. Our horse no longer requires 8 bags of grain in advance, monthly, which saves money that can go to other things such as insurance. Our horse gets vitamins and minerals and high quality hay; her coat is the best we have ever seen and she has gained weight in the past two months. While our horse is our responsibility, I don’t feel any judgement when walking on the grounds. I have heard nothing but positive things about the owners and look forward to watching my daughter train with a variety of certified coaches. We are at Celtic Roots to take care of our horse and ride her and learn. And so far our meetings with the owners have been private and confidential; something I respect as a business owner myself. If you are considering a equestrian facility to become a member of, I suggest you interview each business. Ask questions about things they excel at and what they could do better at. What is their weakness? If someone can’t tell you an area for improvement: they think they are perfect and that just cannot be true. Everyone has something to work on. Ask for reviews. Find out why people leave. Committing to a facility is a big decision and I don’t recommend u take it lightly. But Celtic Roots is clean, professional, confidential, helpful, and it is a place that re-invests profits into their grounds. I am happy we made the move. I’m happy my daughter is happy and feels comfortable too.

I would highly recommend Celtic as a boarding facility in the Simcoe County area! Pastures are always harrowed with hay and water. Great indoor and outdoor arena with nice trails and cross country jumps. Rob and MaryAnn love what they do and it shows through their meticulous care of the horses and property. Very reasonable boarding fees with customizable services. Would come back here in a heartbeat if I lived closer.
