I grew up going to Stroud United Church and my dad was very proud of one thing. He came up with the name Simpresca. This goes back 60 years ago. The church had bought the proberty and needed a name. Dad came up with Sim = Simcoe, Pres= Presbytery, ca= camp. :-) Simpresca!!! A woman beside him made the motion and the rest is history. He was Ross Hubbert. My daughter has been going for 5 years and absolutely loves it. When we pick her up, the car ride home is non stop chatter about all her fun times! Totally recommend.
