I worked there my first yr out of collage...been there a long time . They still run the same program from 12 yrs ago.
The VON Program at Sunset Manor in Collingwood is wonderful. My mother attends every Thursday and will most likely be attending two times a week in the near future. My mother has Alzheimer's and this program is geared to those who have the same or similar challenges. She absolutely loves the day program and looks forward to going each and every week. She is with others her age and who face her challenges and there is no pressure or frustrations she faces outside in the fast paced environment with those who are not afflicted with this dreaded illness. She has physical activites geared to her limitations, mental activities, lunch and social interaction. Fiona the program Director is a wonderful person and her team are caring, welcoming and always upbeat, kind and patient. Thank you to all of you! Words really cannot express how grateful I am.
