East Side Mario's Barrie (Bayfield)

Restaurant was very busy when we arrived and we were informed at the door that the kitchen was behind and there would be a wait for food. Not in a hurry so we decided that was fine. Received a hot, fresh loaf of bread with butter right away and gave our drink order. Enjoyed unlimited bread and salad while waiting for our meals to arrive. Watching the staff, everyone was working swiftly and efficiently, servers were attending to guests and making sure everyone was happy despite the wait for food. Guys at the prep counter were always on the move, churing out salads and pizzas and baked appetizers with what seemed to be incredible speeds. Food was flying out of the kitchen quickly but organized and servers were still grabbing moments to check in on all their tables. Requests were answered promptly and everything was received correctly. Food was excellent. Tried some new dishes and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back!! Bill came and we were informed that the payment machines were down, so all card information was being taken by hand, which made the high level of efficiency shown by the staff even more impressive!! Yes, there was a long wait for food, but it wasn't a problem, we were well looked after during the wait, and it's understandable with how busy the restaurant was and the other issues going on. All in all I applaud the staff and management of this location on jobs very well done!!

Great prices. You get a lot of food for a good price. Very friendly staff. I also love how you can create your own dish to your liking. Go there.

The food is decent here. We have never had a bad meal. However the waits are always long for ordering and receiving your food. And often you're having to wait too long to get your bill. The washrooms are also quite outdated and not often kept very clean. The washroom that is upstairs is very dark and dingy and it's often very hard to help my four year old and 3 year old to go to the bathroom there. We wish we enjoyed our visits here more often. They have a great kids menu and our kids always love going there.

Great restaurant with quick and friendly service. Menu has a good selection of Italian dishes and the bread is as delicious as the food. Fresh salads, alcohol and no alcohol beverages are available including beers. Short wait for seating but well worth the wait. Parking is available for free. Good for family outings or social gatherings.
