No wonder the cafe is frequented by locals and tourists alike. Truly family owned and run, quiet and all around positive experience. Can't wait to go back.

Really enjoyed the cool schoolhouse Cafe and had a heartfelt chat with Eva herself. What a great stop after a hike at Bonnechere. -

(October 26, 2023, 1:43 am)Had an incredible experience at Eva’s Cafe - Schoolhouse Inn! The owners, Eva and Sandor, truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Their warm hospitality made a lasting impression. The food was an absolute delight—each dish was delicious and left us craving for more. We found ourselves returning multiple times over the weekend, thoroughly enjoying our meals. It wasn't just a cafe visit, but a memorable stay. I can't wait to visit again! We had their Schnitzel, rice pudding, the great breakfast, and avocado toast. Her chocolate cake is also absolutely amazing too. Thank you Eva and Sandor we will definitely be back!

(September 11, 2023, 3:44 pm)Stopped in at the end of the day for a quick coffee and a treat, Eva and her Husband were very gracious to serve us with the best pie & donuts we've had in so long! I will be recommending to everybody I know. Can't wait to see their bee observation hive next year!

(May 29, 2023, 8:52 pm)Sandor and Eva are two of the sweetest hosts we’ve ever had. The location is amazing, in Round Lake Centre, 5 min walk from all the civilization in a 30min radius. We stayed here, us 2 and our medium dog, to go to Algonquin park and it was perfect.
Sandor and Eva stopped at nothing to make our stay the most comfortable possible, including giving us access to a pool, hot tub, charcoal and gas BBQ, and an amazing cafe / restaurant where Eva sells her own homemade pastries, donuts, breakfast and the most delicious schnitzel, with espresso beverages as well.
We stayed in the tent. The linens on the bed were pristine and we were given towels and a comfy duvet.
We were insanely happy with the quality of this getaway and we will be back soon, with our pup of course :)
