I absolutely recommend anyone looking to learn Spanish to take lessons with Deborah. She’s understanding, compassionate and very knowledgeable in the language of Spanish. Not only will you learn the language but you’ll learn about the culture. You’ll get twice the value of a university course at half the cost and the perks of private or semi private tutoring. Looking forward to continue in the future :) . 10/10

Hands down the best teacher there is, UNTOUCHABLE! You don’t even know how she does it, she makes learning the language exciting and fun, she encourages you to speak, think and solve problems, she makes you do things you never imagined possible in spanish. I was skeptical at first, but the results Im seeing are amazing, I love this professor . Her style of teaching is incredible, she customizes the classes for you, if you have any questions she’s always happy to answer them and ensures you understand everything before moving on and it takes no time. As complicated as something may seem to you, she will turn it into the simplest thing just by the way she is able to explain it, never fails to amaze me. I was always nervous to communicate in Spanish. Even at the beginning when I first met profesora Déborah, not one word of Spanish would come out of my mouth but she knew exactly how to make me feel comfortable. I am so happy I found her I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. They say the best way to learn a foreign language is to live or frequently visit the country and communicate with locals, let me tell you THIS IS AS CLOSE AS IT GETS: for example, when we first started I told her I’d like to learn the way Colombians speak and terms they use specific to Colombia, and every time we come across a new word or phrase, she will emphasize to me, this is how they say it in Colombia, or this is how they pronounce this word in Colombian, this is the saying they use in Colombia! I love it!! Or even Argentina, she knows how much I love the language, so she gives me all types of real life examples from all over South America. The best part about all this is you can tell she cares about her students, she goes out of her way to help in any way shape or form; very personable, caring, kind! I couldn’t have found a better teacher in a million years.

My husband and I have been taking Spanish lessons from Deborah for some time. We have taken beginning Spanish lessons previously but this has been a far superior experience. Deborah is always well prepared and provides a variety of materials and methods to keep things interesting. Techniques are varied and include songs, videos, games, quizzes, written exercises, and oral practice. She is enthusiastic, and has an excellent sense of humour. Deborah demonstrates great patience and is very encouraging. Lessons are individualized to suit our needs and interests. She often researches topics related to the area where we travel, including local customs and expressions in her lessons. We recommend her without reservation.

Deborah is an astounding Spanish teacher!

I've been building my vocabulary on my own for quite some time but wanted to get help with sentence building, grammar and to better hold Spanish conversations. Deborah was able to evaluate my level of knowledge to determine my weak points and tailor her classes to focus on those areas. This has proven to rapidly accelerate the refinement of my Spanish reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Deborah is a very fun and easy teacher to work with, and she makes you feel comfortable during lessons and provides a lot of positive reinforcement!

Deborah is also very professional and punctual, she is always a bit early for class to set up and has no problem staying a bit extra to wrap up the current exercise, even if we go an extra 10 or 15 minutes over.

Very reasonably priced, extremely effective learning approach, excellent teacher and person in general to work with, and really fun classes that tailor to your specific learning style!

I strongly recommend Deborah and PROTS for Spanish classes and Spanish translation services!
