  If you are thinking about The Barton Retirement Residence for yourself or for a loved one stop thinking and do it. Call, tour and move in. You won’t regret it.
  We found Chartwell Seniors Housing Reit to be a fair and reputable management company to deal with throughout the years. Easy to deal with and responsive.
  Mom lived at The Barton for 11 wonderful years. The Barton community – residents and staff – became family to Mom and close friends and extended family to us. Living is independent but supported.
  Highlights:
  *Staff are exceptional. Management, administration, medical, dining room & kitchen, cleaning, lifestyle & activities, maintenance – all staff are attentive and compassionate. Needs were always met in a timely manner and communicated well to the family. Worry about Mom not taking the best care of herself was a non-issue. The staff cared for Mom like she was their family member.
  *Facility is clean, well-managed and maintained. A homey warm feeling. Food is well prepared and enjoyable.
  *Programs, activities and entertainment are varied, engaging, stimulating and fun. Something for everyone. Mom would always say that there was a lot to do and she could join in or have her time to herself. The choice was hers. Family is welcomed and encouraged to join in.
  *Outside services, at a reasonable cost, such as hairdressing, blood collection, foot care etc. come on-site to assist residents if transportation is a concern.
  We cannot say enough praises about the facility, programs and the people there.
  We thank The Barton residents and staff for 11 years of happy and satisfying living and highly recommend The Barton!

  My father has been a resident at the Barton for over 2 years and I cannot praise them enough for making Dad feel at home here. The nursing support is outstanding and the communication between Dad, the home and our family lends us support when we cannot be with him every day. Together, this team and the residents make for a large family and a home "away from home" as Dad knew it before we lost Mom. Thank you Barton :)
