8800 Taxi Beer & Liquor

Holy cow if I had only known about 8800 Taxi when I moved to Newmarket from Toronto two months ago I would have NEVER dealt with the other 2 taxi companies. This is the only company in Newmarket which carries a debit/credit machine (as required by law) and charges fare based on the meter or your agreed upon price unlike the other 2 companies which forced a high fixed rate (such as $20 cash only fare for a $12 ride with 8800 Taxi) and offered terrible service, unprofessional drivers, damaged vehicles, and careless employees. At 8800 Taxi they don't make you wait 45 minutes then to tell you the fare has hiked due to the driver having to take a detour for me to have you withdrawal cash from a gas station. I've stopped using Uber and Lyft altogether because at 8800 Taxi you'll always be picked up in a premium, black, luxury vehicle, whether it be an SUV or a large sedan, you're receiving a limo service at prices lower than the big two ride sharing apps. I'm truly disappointed and disgusted with the other 2 cab companies in Newmarket which take advantage of us citizens to benefit no one other than themselves. 8800 Taxi on the other hand goes not only the extra step, but they also care. I myself struggle with a physical disability and never have I had so much assistance from a taxi service. The driver offered to pick up my groceries and even helped me put away all the food! He didn't even take my additional tip!! He said something that I won't forget because it restored my faith in humanity. It was "I helped you because I wanted to, not because I wanted something in return. Helping others in itself is the biggest reward in life"; truly moving. :')

Excellent on all points: the driver was immediately responsive to my early morning phone call and arrived when he said he would, the drive to Newmarket was direct and efficient, with pleasant conversation all the way, and the car was immaculate. The driver then picked me up in Newmarket when I was finished with my business and I was home before I knew it. Very reasonable rate. I recognized the driver from having done business with him years before, and am glad to say the service was as excellent today as it was then. Never mind those other cab companies in Newmarket: call this one first. You'll be glad you did.

I have been taking cabs since my car accident, I have tried different companies but 8800 taxi has been the best. They have friendly drivers, safe, and they always try their best to get me to where i need to be on time.
