(January 14, 2018, 2:55 pm)My husband and I took a chesterfield into Streetsville Custom Upholstery to be recovered. On the date we were expecting it, no one contacted us about it. We wondered why it wasn't finished so we phoned but heard nothing back. After a few days we found out that Howard, the owner, had died. No one had contacted us because they didn't know it was our chesterfield. We were in a dilemma then since we had a partially recovered chesterfield and no one to finish it for us. Then we found out that Marc Schuller, a friend of Howard's, had volunteered to finish the work Howard had started. Marc not only does upholstery of car seats and boat seats but also of chesterfields and chairs. He told us he could finish our chesterfield and he did. He did a great job. The finishing details were better than the original chesterfield. We are very happy with it. Marc even delivered it to us. He is taking over the Streetsville Custom Upholstery business and, since his work is excellent, we will take any other items that need to be recovered to him.

(June 15, 2017, 8:42 pm)Really pleased! I have outdoor furniture with unusually shaped cushions that presented a challenge when they needed to be replaced. Howard took pride in his work, and pointed out flaws in the fabric we initially selected. He insisted that we have the manufacturer replace it (which they did) and as a result we now have beautiful replacement cushions. I would say they are better than the originals. Howard has low overhead (don't expect a fancy shop), but he does good work at a great price. See picture to see the result.
