(August 16, 2021, 4:40 am)I went on this trail last summer. It is mainly gravel and goes through many small townships. You get old buildings and different kinds of natural landscapes to view. I only did less than half the trail before I circled back, but it is a hidden gem close to the city that makes for an interesting bike ride or walk

(August 2, 2021, 11:13 pm)Busy trail with limited parking. Sunny and shady patches with a lot of road crossings. Only a few of the crossings are busy and attention should be given if riding with kids or group. Overall nice trail, similar to other rail trails in the area.

(August 1, 2021, 4:21 am)This trail is great for biking. The path is mostly flat with hard packed dirt or gravel. The trail is covered by trees most of the way so you can stay out of the sun. Lots of 'free learning' signs along the trail with information about a variety of topics such as the wildlife, native plants, and local landmarks. There are tons of amazing looking Armour stone benches along the trail to stop and take a break at. Nice little towns just off the trail to go and explore. We definitely felt like we were MUCH further from the city! Felt like we were riding way up north! The trail wasn't too busy and we mostly saw bikes with a few groups of walkers. Great ride on a great trail!

(July 12, 2021, 7:28 am)Amazing trail. Easy since the terrain is 95% flat. Great spots to stop and take a break along the way. Well worth the drive out to a trail head.

The Caledon Trailway is a sweet spot for biking. When we were there, it was hardly travelled, a few walkers and a handful of bikers. Great scenery along the way, you can bike for hours. About 8 feet wide in most places and pretty flat, it’s a great space for a casual bike ride. Lots of shady spots along the way. And many birds, if that’s your jam.
Parking at various locations along the way, best we saw was at Ken Whillans Resource Management Area.
