(May 3, 2019, 12:32 pm)I took a tour with my university class and I really enjoyed learning lots of new things about my city. We even got to go in the basement where they have tons of extra things in storage. That was neat. Unfortunately we were under time constraints so I didn't get to see all the displays. But I took some pictures of our proudest heritage moment: the time they filmed that scene A Christmas Story ????

(May 2, 2019, 8:49 pm)Absolutely love this place. The museum is excellent and free of charge. I recommend donating though. Simple $10 and you can kill and hour in here.
If you are interested at all in mechanics and the canal this will teach you how it all works and the history of the Welland canal. -

(April 13, 2019, 8:18 pm)This was a great place to visit with my 3 year old. We played pirates at the amazing park shaped like a ship. Then we did a scavenger hunt to explore all the amazing item they have displayed such as a cannon, propeller, anchors, and the museum. The museum is cute and has a lot of great facts about the area and the canals and there is a great memorial for the fallen workers that passed while making the canal. The viewing area is a great place to get a birds eye view of the ships. I wish there was a little cafe or something there. But there are plenty of picnic tables.
