(October 15, 2017, 3:23 am)I was given a personal interview regarding the society, and was thoroughly impressed with the amount of detail, care, and specificity the organization had. Each individual that wants to know any information regarding potential dementia for themselves or other individuals in their lives are free to enter without pressure or stigma. Trained professional counselors from many backgrounds (nursing, psychology, etc.) will be happy to assist with any aspect regarding taking care of/functioning with any dementia type disorders. They also have several programs they run that help individuals get more stimulation mentally and physically, along with interesting fundraisers that involve the community. The only aspect that I see that could be improved is social marketing as many individuals in the community are unaware of how prevalent dementias are, and how likely they could be to develop one. Spreading the word about this amazing service is crucial.
