Jane Book Dog Obedience School

Jem loves going to see his friends at Jane Book. He just graduated from Puppy Socialization which is a wonderful and safe way to introduce your puppy to other puppies and basic obedience. Junior Puppy class and Senior puppy class build on these basics while teaching in small groups with physical distancing and masks. Very important in these times. Jane, Heather, Kim, Corwin and Leann are extremely helpful, positive and Jem thinks the world of them. So do I. Jem and I are looking forward to trying some other courses with them.

Our puppy Storm had some serious socialization issues but after participating in the Puppy Socialization Classes with Jane and her associates, she made some amazing gains. They are kind, patient and very knowledgeable about dog behaviours. You can tell that they genuinely like the dogs they are working with, even the difficult ones. We are grateful for their help and would highly recommend this program.

Jane is AWESOME! Her positive method to training is one of a kind. Her welcoming and gentle approach has not only benefited my dog, but she continues to give me confidence with training. Highly recommended!!

Jane and Heather are excellent with their training. We recently completed Jane's Jr Puppy training with our first dog (of our life!) and look forward to continue training with Jane. Patient, thorough and great explanation and reassurance that what we are experiencing with our puppy is normal.

Jane is very knowledgeable and has the right approach in training your puppy or dog. Over 18 years ago I had gone to Jane with our first dog and had great success. When our dog passed and we were ready to get another dog I had tried puppy classes with another company. Our puppy did very well. However I was disappointed in how little was taught and lack of structure in training your dog for desired behaviors. I decided to continue training my puppy and went back to Jane Book we ended up taking beginner, advanced and agility. It amazed me how much Jane felt we had been taught the wrong tactics in puppy training with the other organization. It took me some time after learning her training approach that she was right. She was teaching me the skills to get the desired behavior I wanted from my dog in a very positive way. Four years later and with a new addition to our family I am back taking classes again with Jane. Training a puppy is not easy it can be quite frustrating. This time around I find it much easier, maybe I retained training tactics from previous classes.
