Nine Lives Custom Refinishing

Nine Lives was recommended by a local paint store to help us solve issues with our previously refinished kitchen cabinets and the decision to have Kevin and his staff redo the job will not be regretted. Kevin made us feel comfortable as he explained the process and timeline and helpful in suggesting a more appealing white colour. The kitchen was sealed off preventing odours and dust in the rest of the open area and all counters and appliances were wrapped. The team effort and commitment to the job by Scott and Luigi allowed the in-house painting to be finished in 2 days. The doors have been Installed and look new. Nine Lives not only gave us a great finished product but the team has developed techniques which cause the owners little inconvenience. Thank you.

Our 30 year old kitchen and our 100+ year old doors are renewed! Kevin, Scott and the team did a great job refinishing the hand made cabinets and antique doors of our circa 1828 home. They had to work with hand made hinges, antique hardware, and original door frames! Whenever you anticipate having work done on such an old place, you always anticipate a slew of problems to arise, but this job went off without a hitch! We are impressed and very happy with the results.

From the moment we walked in to Nine Lives, we knew we had found special talented people, who cared about what we wanted to achieve with our antique furniture. Carolyn, Kevin, Dwayne and the rest of the team did a superb job. Always checking to see that they had understood our evolving project. Each of them are so talented in achieving the best look for the furniture. We had this very old kitchen table from the early 1900s, that needed a facelift. All of them worked on the project and added things that elevated the tables, chairs and wall units to an unbelievable finished product. When Kevin arrived with some of the completed furniture, he said you can’t put those store bought chairs with that beautiful table. I’m going to take them back to the shop and spray them to match the table. We couldn’t believe our eyes as we saw the brand new chairs going onto the truck. He took the chairs apart stained the seats to match the top of the table and spray-painted the rest of the chairs so that they matched our gorgeous table. That was the right thing to do but at the time we couldn’t see it. Thank you Kevin for being so honest and knowing it was the right thing to do. Carolyn worked her magic with bringing all the carving to life and she worked very closely with me picking the perfect colour of paint for all the pieces of furniture. I can’t stress enough, that if you have furniture that has sentimental value and means something to you, this is the place to bring it. Kevin and the Nine Lives staff did an outstanding job on refinishing our kitchen cabinets. They turned our horrible yellow cabinets into beautiful white cabinets with a gorgeous finish.
