I was told by a local shop that I would need a new transmission, so I opted to call a specialist for a second opinion. Mike at Accurate Transmission is extremely honest and found that I did not need a new transmission - only a repair. He saved me about $1500. I would highly recommend taking your transmission needs to Accurate!
I am pretty sceptical about taking my vehicle to any mechanic aside from the ones I know personally in my family, but today I had to take my truck in for transmission issues. I was worried this was a huge open door to be ripped off with ‘oh you’re going to need a brand new transmission’ and on top of that I have a master transmission technician in my direct family. I decided to take a shot in the dark and go to a transmission specialist. I dealt with Mike from accurate transmissions and let me just say not only was he honest, but he was also extremely honest with his price. My truck is now functioning perfectly and I walked away with a bill that in my opinion thought was going to have an extra 0 on the end.
