  The staff here is great but they do get busy so schedule your training a few weeks in advance and you'll have an awesome summer like I did!

  Everyone has been super nice and amazing! I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday a flight and his pilot was very thorough and awesome! Great experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone ????

  I am a rental pilot working on my instrument rating at Spectrum Airways; I got my private pilot's licence with them a couple of years ago. I like flying with Spectrum Airways; the team is personable, polite and engaged, and the instructor team are all passionate flyers that want their students to succeed. Having said that, learning to fly takes work and it's serious business. This isn't golf! The instructors at Spectrum are all professional, commercial pilots; every flight is a one-on-one lesson where the focus is teaching the aspiring pilot how to safely handle an airplane. Aviation is very much a safety oriented culture and this is exemplified by the instructors and the management at Spectrum Airways. Their fleet of rental Cessna 172s and Cessna 152s are very well maintained, especially the engines (which is the most important part!). If you live in Oakville, Burlington, Milton or the surrounding area I highly recommend Spectrum Airways if want to learn how to fly!

  What I appreciate about Spectrum is its location: a sense of getting away from the congestion, less traffic, fewer people although on a good 'fly day' there's lots going on. The staff has always been pleasant, sometimes quiet and focused on work at hand, sometimes cajoling and joking in fun. I like that. I like the more relaxed atmosphere. When appropriate, the staff has been professional and attentive to what's required. When there are less busy times, the staff takes time to show interest and give encouragement (as today when I dropped by to make a few inquiries re: further training). The key for me is an instructor's ability to 'read' her/his student; to know when to encourage, when to be firm, when to lay off. I've been fortunate. Glad we have this resource locally (I'm from the Hamilton area and have chosen Spectrum)
