(May 4, 2019, 3:31 am)We visited Shogun on a Friday night after searching Teppanyaki on Google Maps in the Durham region. Some reviews were great, others not so much, but we were glad we didn’t listen to those negative reviews because we were blown away by everything!
It wasn’t busy, another family had just finished dining, so it was just the hubby and myself at the late hour, but the service was impeccable regardless. The staff was pleasant, great conversationalists, and very kind. They even educated us about Sake options, and most importantly, the food was divine! Everything had the perfect amount of flavour, and although we got the Shogun combo for 2, we were so full we had to pack away half the food! We will definitely be visiting again and recommend anyone in Durham region to visit or even make the trip because it’s totally worth the drive! -

(March 8, 2019, 11:21 pm)Incredible restaurant. If you're dining in, have them fire up the Teppanyaki station for you. Dinner and a show.
The fillet mignon teppanyaki dinner is fantastic. Highly recommend ordering that. You can even order it take out although it's not on the menu.
