(April 16, 2019, 1:33 am)I haven't been to Halenda"s in many years now. It seems to me that they have a lot more pre seasoned meats, and even ready foods. They still have a wonderful selection of meats and deli meats. I haven't yet prepared any of what I purchased (I prefer to prepare my own meals), but if the quality is as it was years back it should be wonderful.

Halenda's has an amazing selection of fresh and cured meats, as well as frozen foods and amazing Ukrainian pierogi and cabbage rolls from a Ukrainian Church Ladies Auxiliary. If you don't have your own Baba, this will give you almost the same experience.

(January 10, 2019, 6:26 pm)The employees are the best. Great selection of meat and the whole chickens are more like small turkeys. Usually around 6 to 7 lbs. You can give them your email address and then they will email you weekly sales that only email recipients will receive. Go in and tell them what you want and then the email price. The sale price is not posted inside the store.
