(October 31, 2020, 1:02 pm)Our second stay and it was equally as enjoyable as the first. It was fall and the leaves were starting to change colour, beautiful area at this time of year. The grounds are extremely well kept and the site we stayed in was easily accessed and level. Services were conveniently located in our site, the only issue was with very low water pressure a couple times during our six day stay.
Lake Avenue, while located at the south end of the county, is still convenient for accessing the rest of the area. You'll find nothing is really far away. We brought our kayaks as the resort has an excellent beach and boat docks on East Lake, but weather prevented getting them out. Our bikes got well used on the Millennium Trail, a definite must do while staying in the area. Plenty of wine tours to take in as well as craft breweries.
The owners of Lake Avenue are welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. Thier resort is a combination of full-time sites with a number of transient sites. The permanent units are clean and well cared for. I would imagine the place is gets fully booked in the summer months, but we have been lucky enough to find spots on our spring and fall stays. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return here again. -
