Black Licorice Tree Bed and Breakfast

We stayed in the Beach House for two nights last week. Mark and Melanie are wonderful hosts. They followed Covid 19 protocol, making us feel very safe throughout our visit. The breakfast each morning was amazing! Fresh ingredients, beautifully presented on dinnerware made by Melanie, a talented Potter. The food was absolutely delicious! The location is perfect! Close to many wineries, craft breweries, restaurants, and the amazing Sandbanks! Thank you for making our getaway perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the main house. Mark was super welcoming and made truly fantastic 2-course breakfasts each day. He was great for recommendations as well. The location is close to Sandbanks Provincial Park and Bloomfield.

And we loved morning visits from Lexy the miniature daschund.

Beautiful setting, open space, close to beaches and wineries. I would love to give the b/b a 10 if I could. We stayed in the Beach House, had breakfast served outside, which was a highlight of the stay. Mark served us the most spectacular breakfasts every morning with the most delicious coffee. All this on 7 acres of land with a trail throughout, enormous trees, birds, butterflies and dragonflies. We will definitely stay here again. Also visit the pottery shop, the pieces are functional and elegant in design. Two very artistic and creative hosts.

Mark and Melanie are great hosts. The breakfasts are always fantastic. We always buy some of Melanie's pottery - Mena's Dragonfly. Just down the road from Sandbanks Provincial Park.

My fiancé and I have been staying at the black licorice tree B&B for the last 5 summers. It's our little yearly treat to get away from the big hectic city. Mark is a wonderful host who cooks one hell of a scrumptious breakfast, I would describe it as fine dining meets country comfort style cooking, all fresh ingredients and you can tell much love goes into his creations. The rooms are very comfortable, our favourite is the beach house room nestled away from the main house, it is found under Melanie's pottery studio! Don't forget to check her pottery out! Centrally located and short drive from all of PECs awesome attractions including 5 minute drive to sandbanks beach.
