I hired marc thibodeau on the advice of my realtor, and am vert happy i did. marc was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the house, and often gave advice even beyond the scope of the inspection of how to best repair and care for the property. most impressive for me wasn't even marc's knowledge, amassed over a lifetime in the industry, but his willingness to explain things to me in a way i can understand. this is my first house. marc encouraged me to climb into the attic and on the roof with him. I audio recorded the entire (4 hour) home inspection and now have not only an inspection report but a play by play of information from a pro on what my priorities should be, and tips and tricks for everything else. a couple of weeks after the inspection, when my lender wanted photos of the chimney, marc was happy to provide them, and this saved me another trip.
