My son's also had taken a "break" from karate and went to see Erik. He has got the boys totally back into this sport and elevated their skill levels since they started back in September?
My 9 year old son wanted to try getting back into karate after a few years off. After just moving to town we decided to try out our options. After going to try both dojos in town he told me he wanted to go to Thomson Martial Arts, he wanted to give the "smaller dojo" a try. After a few months I decided that I could benefit from the fitness class there but it didn't fit my schedule at the time so I started karate instead (at 40 years old). Eric was very patient with me while learned and got into shape. Eventually I started sparring as well (you can go to as many karate/sparring/fitness classes in a week as you like) and competed in a competition (something that I never thought I would do). My son has competed several times as well and has done very well thanks to excellent training. We have been going now almost 2 years and I am in better shape now than when I was 20, I have dropped 40lbs and have more energy and focus in every aspect of my life. I highly recommend giving Thomson Martial Arts a try, you won't regret it.
