I have been referred to an ophthalmologist but the appintment is not till next year (I know ????????♀️) so i decided to take matters in my hand and decided to go see an optometrist given that it would have been covered with my insurance but the doctor just looking at the paperwork i had filled out for her told me that I was covered under OHIP even for eye exams so did not pay anything for testing. For the the retinal picture she used my insurance.
When I had called to book the appointment the lady at front desk seemed genuinely concerned when i had shared my reservations and concerns and she told me Dr. Arora would take great care of me and she truly did deliver on that. She answered all my questions was gentle throughout the appointment and the fact that she was not out to get me and from the get go had my best interest at heart. She had nothing to gain by informing me that OHIP covers my yearly vision exam due to my medications she could have gone ahead with my insurance.
I had called a couple places and none had mentioned this.
Did a requisition as well and told me someone would call me back with an appt. Best part they take it upon themselves to remind you abt your appointment so expect a call when your appt is due in a year or two years time.
Thers was zero wait time overall efficiency was great they all were welcoming. Would definitely recommend others to go here cus of the doctor, rest of the staff and overall environment.
Arora Optometry is fantastic. I'm happy to drive almost 40 minutes and pay for the 407 to see Dr. Arora for myself and my Family. She's patient, willing to share information, kind and the practice operates with utmost professionalism. My Family comes more than annually and we always look forward to it like visiting a real friend. My glasses and prescription are always great.
Our family has been coming to Arora Optometry for over 10 years, starting when my child was 3. Dr. Arora does an incredible job taking care of our family, and we trust her implicitly.
Dr. Arora is knowledgeable, kind, thorough, and takes the time to answer all our questions and concerns. The staff is professional and courteous. We wholeheartedly would recommend Dr. Arora to anyone looking for an optometrist that cares.
Just completed my eye exam with this optometrist. This is by far the most thorough eye exam I have ever had . Great selection of quality frames, I chose a pair of ray bans that I had tried on at Lenscrafters and ordered them here, at a fraction of the cost at Lenscrafters. Thanks Dr. Arora. I will be back.
Got 2 pairs of lens for my son. Great customer service. Plus, they have a free replacement program for kids lens that get scratched up within the year, and also has the youth program so you can spread out the lens over a period of a few months - super helpful for kids because optometrists would normally want to see the kid within 6-9 weeks and adjust accordingly.
