(August 15, 2022, 6:55 pm)While we have been in their shop, and it has a lot of cool products, including different animal feeds and gear, we were also there for some horse rides. Same place, same great people, so I thought I would drop a review for that here as well, even though it may not be officially listed anywhere else.
We went on an hour ride after the proprietors graciously and patiently explained all the details about the horses, how to safely be around them, how to saddle and bridle them, and why we needed to behave a certain way around the horses. I appreciated that because understanding WHY we needed to do certain things was the best way for neither the horses nor ourselves to be hurt because we understood the rules - we didn't have to just memorize things. The horses were amazing. Well kept, great health, and most importantly, well trained. The horses were gentle and super responsive to every tap, nudge and rein command. The ride was calm, peaceful and entertaining. Great company, great conversation, beautiful scenery and a nice long ride. An hour ride was the perfect length of time (you can go for longer than an hour too). especially for a beginner like me. I felt relaxed and safe at all times. I will definitely be back. It was so awesome. Better than a 5 star experience, but that's the highest this rating goes, so yeah, 5 stars and I would absolutely recommend them for both their shop and most definitely for their horse ride experience!
