Lacks trauma informed approaches. Not warm or welcoming. Felt worse after the session than I did before. After seeing a real trauma informed therapist, i now know how terrible this was. I left feeling better with a new therapist, the way it should be! You can't heal deep trauma wounds with someone who has no awareness or compassion. Absolutely terrible.
In having been a part of the ACT program and helping to make therapy more affordable and accessible, Dr. Laurie has been absolutely wonderful to work with as clinical director; she provides for a highly professional and rewarding experience for all therapists under her wing.
The Counselling House's Accrediting Counsellors and Therapists program provided me with the opportunity to grow and develop as a counselling intern in many ways. It was a very positive experience.
