Thorncliffe Place

We were very surprised that we had never heard of this place. It is one of the two best that we saw, both of which are head and shoulders about the rest. Friendly managers and staff, clean rooms, a nice family feel, close to everything in Bell's Corners, etc. Adriana took our call on a weekend and spent a lot of time giving us all care and room options. Seems like a nice and well run retirement home.

Our family is so grateful to Thorncliffe for their diligence in keeping our mother and of course, all the residents, protected throughout this entire ordeal. We all get frustrated with the rules and precautions, but the bottom line is that our family members are safe.
The staff is kind and caring and we are thankful for their efforts in assisting us to maintain contact with our mother through FT, physical visits, albeit at a distance, and for contacting us when we make requests. We are very grateful.

Thorncliffe Place is an intimate retirement home where the residents are treated like family! My father has lived there for over a year and his changing and sometimes challenging needs have been very well provided for. The staff are pleasant and they treat everyone with respect. Delicious meals and lots of fun activities are part of day to day life. Manager Adriana has done a superior job keeping Covid 19 out of Thorncliffe Place, continually exceeding the protocols put forth by the government. Well done, Adriana and staff! 5 stars from my family!!

Thorncliffe Place is a jewel in Nepean (West end of Ottawa), providing tender loving care to its senior residents in a professional and competent way. My Dad has been a resident for the past year and my family are grateful he is living in such a great place. Manager Adriana leads her dedicated staff and wonderful volunteers in creating a friendly and welcoming home-like environment for vulnerable seniors. Family members of residents are encouraged to visit and participate in the many engaging social events organized for residents. If I could describe the essence of Thorncliffe Place in one word, it would be LOVE. I highly recommend this unique and special retirement home to any prospective resident. ❤️✔️

Thorncliffe Place was a beautiful building with beautiful decorations. The seasonal festivities were the best. Especially Christmas. My family and especially my mom who was a resident at Thorncliffe Place had a Terrific Experience. The General Manager was very kind, helpful and informative making the experience of moving in very easy on my mom and the rest of us for that matter. The Activities Manager was very encouraging and encouraged us to join the activities that were taking place. The Nursing Department showed a high level of care and I was impressed. Overall the staff and management show compassion towards the care of their residents and I am grateful that my mom was a part of this.
