i've been walking this area for more than 25 years. there are birds, boardwalks, tons of chickadees who will eat from your hand if you bring black sunflower seeds. I've been skiing in winter, snowshoeing, it's a truly delightful area that can be done as a 10 minute hang out in the woods to a 1 hour ski around the loop. one of ottawa's hidden treasures.

I absolutely love spending time in the woods at Jack Pine trails...It's so peaceful, and perfectly maintained, easy access and great parking. It's always a great trip with the family to feed the birds and connect with nature!

Make sure to bring sunflower seeds to feed the birds. They'll land on your hand and take them from you if you're careful!

I was very happy that it is open during winter and so easily accessible. Well maintained and easy to get around with all the maps available everywhere. The birds were very cooperative for photos :) We are definitely coming back.
