  A woman friend had her brakes serviced at Clarmo a few months ago and afterwards there was a "click" sound on application of the brakes. A mechanic friend had a look and found nothing (including suspension). While having her transmisson serviced, the dealer looked it over, found nothing, and suggested that the other shop had used wrong size aftermarket brake shoes. (The brakes were serviced...not relined...the same pads that were put in the car when it was built are still in it. $60.00 please.)
  
  I rode along as she took it back to Clarmo. They politely suggested she bring it back sooner next time. The mechanic's road test was inconclusive, but they didn't blow her off. Two mechanics went at it, found missing shims behind the brake pad clips, (maybe a service fault, maybe not) did a video to show her what the problem was, and fixed it.
  
  No charge...
  
  She showed me the bill for the previous brake service. They charged her significantly less than the agreed upon quote, I'm guessing because it was a straightforward job, it didn't take so long. They could have hit her up and both of us would never know, but they didn't.
  
  If I didn't live in Toronto, these guys would get my business. If I were a woman, I'd go there. If I didn't understand cars, I know who I'd trust.

  They care about the health of my car and they are knowledgeable on all fronts, they are trustworthy and you always get friendly service, they are also flexible and understanding. Since I have been going to Clarmo Auto Repair, I am car trouble free and I would recommend them to my love ones, friends family and colleagues.
