Beaton Park

Great place to catch Pokemon.

Lovely area to walk or rest and take in nature.

I like the old wood structure, but there's a slide missing and it's patched with a board. Would be nice to see it repaired properly.

The public pool is great, however the rates are not so great. Also, they need picnic tables and shade. Take note; it was disappointing to find out that they do not have interact here, cash only for entrance to pool (it is 2018, really City of Ottawa!)

Excellent outdoor pool.

Staff are always friendly, and they conduct swimming lessons in the summer months (July to August).
It is a short season, but a perfect setting with two huge trees for some shade, picnic tables in the enclosed pool area.
Full changing rooms, showers, vending machines and a water fountain.

There is a nice park right beside the pool (closed during winter months), in case you would prefer a 'drier' day outside. Multiple slides, a bridge, sliding pole, chained ladders to climb, and a cool tube you can practice your echo calls in????.

The park is located directly beside the Hazeldean public library, which is great to stop by, grab some books, and then spend the afternoon playing at the park.

In winter, just behind the library, is a nice hill that is perfect for the smaller kids, or just a quick visit for any size. Wait until a couple of large snowfalls have occurred, and they pile up the snow at the top from the adjacent parking lot. Lots of fun to slide down.

The Glen Cairn tennis club is also located beside the pool, with an open walls area you can use.

Overall, a very nice park, with many things to do.
