  I had my first Colonoscopy at OGI. Waiting area was well designed and nice, clean washrooms. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. My anesthesiologist, Dr. Colin Sentongo was also very friendly and patient. Dr Richmond Sy and Heather (Nurse) were super patient and professional. I am fully satisfied and I do recommend the clinic without any a doubt.

  This is where all doctors in Orléans should refer their patients to for colonoscopy!
  
  I have been referred to the west end of Ottawa for 2 of my previous colonoscopies and to an old building on O’Connor for the third one in the last 12 years or so. These places did not look sanitary probably because they were located in buildings that were so old, it was no worth the renovation. Personnel and Drs were okay, in all 3 places.
  
  Family physicians in the east need to realize that it is not just the patient being referred who needs to take time off of work for a procedure, but someone has to turn their schedule upside down to accompany the patient to and from the clinic. Having to drive from Orléans to Parkdale and Carling for an 8am appointment is no picnic.
  
  When I walked into the Ottawa Gastrointestinal Institute this morning after a nice relaxing 20 minute drive on Innes accompanied by my 83 year old dad (who was able to return home for a few hours until he was called 30 minutes prior to my being discharged), I could not believe how safe I immediately felt. I had expected the feeling of “how do I get out of here” that I had felt in the past, but instead, there was a beautiful spacious waiting room leading to receptionists who were smiling and were easy to understand.
  I immediately felt stress leave my body.
  
  Everyone was wonderful from the nurse who lead me to the prep area, to the anesthesiologist, to Jeff who wheeled my bed into the procedure room. I then met Dr Zolfaghari and right away I felt comfortable in his care. He has a “kind” look about him. (Not to mention...he is easy to look at...)
  
  The “wake up” nurse was a lot of fun and easy going. She is really a people person!
  
  I could go on and on, however the point is that I will recommend the Ottawa Gastrointestinal Institute to every one I meet! This was a great experience and needs to become better known to Physicians in the area!

  Had two colonoscopy before in hospital settings and was quite nervous. They made my third experience a very positive one. Was not aware of when the procedure started or ended. Was woken up by a sweet nurse who gave me apple juice and informed me the doctor was going to come talk to me soon. I was shocked it was already over. I will never fear this exam again.
