Made a service call for my parents who are disabled and elderly and the service guy was good and said nothing was wrong. He spent 15 minutes at the house but they charged 2 hours for a minimum service call. Never informed me of this when I made appointment. I can understand a minimum of 1 hour but a $348 charge for 2 hours for a 15 min visit is outrageous. Basically taking money for no work.if they told me of the two hour minimum when I booked the appointment I could have made a choice but they didn't. While they did a good job installing their service policy leaves much to be desired. Feels like they take advantage and leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
As an update UCE called me back and made a generous adjustment and said they are reviewing their policy. Very much appreciated and I'm glad my call to them was takena seriously. For that I am giving them a better review. The owner is a very reasonable and fair person. I would recommend them for that.
We recently needed a chair lift. Trever, and the staff at Upper Canada Elevator were very quick and super responsive. The lift was installed 24 hours after ordering. Thank you. You have made the stairs a non-issue for my husband and provided me with peace of mind.
