Kim Faithfull: Realtor

We met Kim Faithfull 17 years ago, when she sold our townhouse and helped us find our current home. Two years ago, we asked her to come over and give us an estimate of what needed to be done to increase our home's value, as we knew it needed some updates. We had planned to do mainly our kitchen but were open to suggestions. She spent over an hour going through every room, offering her ideas in an animated way that helped us see unlocked potential. At the time, she knew a contractor, who also came over and gave more ideas, including finishing the basement. We decided to do what they said, and were very happy with the results! At one point, a corner cabinet wasn't available in Ottawa, and Kim went in her car to Ikea in Toronto to get one for us; only to get there and all 7 were already sold. She didn't complain; just kept on encouraging us!
Recently we decided to purchase a home in another area that is closer to our grandkids. We had a short timeline before Victoria Day weekend, the weekend that Kim suggested we be ready for, due to the busier market. She gave us names of 2 Stagers: Pam and Christine, who are amazing artists (acuratednest.com) and bring in their own artwork and furniture, etc. They gave us 16 pages of suggestions; some for each room. They were with us for three full days plus the consult. They were personable, had great ideas, and not intimidating. She also recommended an excellent and personal painter: Dennis. She used an amazing 3D Photographer as well: Snaphouss Franchise. Kim said to “list it low and stage it excellently”,and that was our best chance in a market that was starting to change.
We worked hard for just over 2 weeks and the house was listed at a low price May 20th. Ottawa's Derecho happened May 22nd and Kim still showed up for her Open House at our home! She cheerfully chased items around our backyard and put the outdoor display back together. We got 5 offers and the house sold on May 24th: just below our ultimate price goal! She knew how to work the market and help people see the true value of our home.
Kim has gone "way above and beyond" for us, and we would both recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing realtor who makes a plan, sticks to it no matter what, and who really cares for her clients well! We now consider Kim as a friend who we want to keep in touch with.

Buying your first home comes with sort of challenges, emotional rollercoaster and a lot of trust building with your realtor! Kim met and exceeded our expectations. She answered with great details and knowledge all the ”first home buyer” questions we had (which was a great amount). She readily available for all the viewings we were interested in. While visiting listings, Kim pointed what to look out for and some issues that may develop in the future. Her estimate on selling price were always on point! Her offer suggestions got us to buy the house we wanted within our budget! Overall she has a great personality, she was supportive throughout the whole process and after the closing date.
